Although my mother did some crewl work when I was a kid, she never taught me? I have always had a knack for making things. I love to look at things and see how they’re made. Most times I think ‘I can make that.’ And I have come to believe that I can. Best wishes on your new pattern, It’s very charming! Jean

I love your very cute strawberry pincushion. Sewing is relaxing & it is so special to make or receive a handmade gift. It’s a lot of fun & very creative. I love to look in fabric stores & think about the possibilities.

Hi Nichole, I came from Corry too. What a cute pattern! I can’t decide what I like best about sewing, probably just touching the fabric
My Mom got me started when I grew up in South Africa. Then when I lived in Germany my friend Birgit was the greatest friend and teacher I had ever had the fortune to meet and now that I live in the UK, my friend Vicky and I bounce ideas of each other while supporting each other through some very tough times. Yes, now I know what I like about sewing best: the bonds that can be formed that are as precious as eash of our stitches! Good luck with your pattern venture. I hope you do well.

Your pattern is very sweet, I have popped over from Corry’s blog to have a sticky beak. I am from Australia.
I love the peacefulness I find in stitching, and love to work with fabrics. I just like the feel and softness of working with fabrics and thread.
Good luck with your pattern.
Cheers

Well done, Nichole, love the berry pincushion. Have been sewing since a very young age(doll clothes you know). What I like best about sewing is looking at a fabric and seeing what it could be.

I love it! So cute and happy! I taught myself to sew after my son was born. I don’t even know why??? I just remember going into the craft store and it hit me, real people make quilts. I could even make one. (what a revelation lol) I remember buying my first fabric, I had no idea you brought the whole bolt to the counter, I was lost.
Can you tell I’m a chatter?

Congratulations Nichole, your berry sweet pincushion is absolutely gorgeous. Looks indeed like a nice little project to take along. Sewing is a skil I learned at a very young age. Our mother was and is still very creative. She teached us well.
Have a lovely day.
